LCC International University

LCC International University (LCC), formerly known as Lithuania Christian Fund College, is a private liberal arts university in Lithuania.

Major programs of studies: Established in 1991 at the request of the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, LCC grants a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, English Language and Literature, Psychology and Theology. Beginning in summer 2010, the first graduate study program - Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) - has been offered to those interested in pedagogical excellence, too.

Minor programs of studies: Like many other universities, LCC offers both main programs of study - major, and also a minor. It teaches in the following fields: Business Administration, English Language and Literature, Psychology, Theology, Sociology, Conflict Studies and Lithuanian Studies.

Core courses: The core curriculum at LCC includes a wide variety of subjects - from Computer Proficiency, Academic Writing and History of World Civilizations to Quantitative Reasoning, Public Speaking and Political Economy.

Christian values: The university provides education within the Christian context and the framework of servant leadership.

International: About 650 students currently attending LCC International University come from 21 countries around the globe - Albania, Australia, Belarus, Canada, Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ireland, Israel, Lithuania, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Ukraine, USA.

Student exchange: The North American study abroad program brings up to 30 students from North American universities and colleges to spend a semester at LCC International University. Since 2002, LCC has participated in the Erasmus exchange program within the European Union. Each year LCC students study in EU universities and guest students come to study in Klaipėda. More recently, LCC has established a partner relationship with Gordon College (Massachusetts, USA) and sends several students each year for a semester of studies in America.

Alumni: LCC Alumni are successful in the job market - their employment rate is 97 percent. 25 percent of Alumni continue with graduate studies all around the world.

Summer Language Institute: Each summer LCC hosts more than 300 students from Lithuania and abroad for its well-known Summer Language Institute. Because of its popularity, LCC now also hosts a SLI in Rivne, Ukraine. English language evening courses are also held at LCC.
